Lafayette Transitional Housing
West Lafayette, IN
2020
Outgrowing their old space in the Howarth Center, LTHC Homeless Services sought to open a new facility to assist even more individuals struggling with homelessness than before. The project took several years of pre-development spearheaded by the executive director, Jennifer Layton, and Keller Development from Fort Wayne, IN, and then KJG Architecture for the design of the building. The main facades along Union Street and 13th Street feature a unique geometric design reflected in the brick, windows, and parapet that together create a dynamic look and feel for people passing by. Transitional housing apartments are located above the engagement center that houses shared community spaces for the residents to come together.
